“She was a Registered Nurse and Midwife. She had been working at Dipalata Mission and was involved in Ante-natal Clinic, Child Health, Post natal Clinic, Family planning and distribution of food and clothes. She managed to build a maternity ward fully equipped with an Operating Theatre room using money donated by friends from the United Kingdom. She built an Airstrip using her own money and the Doctors were able to fly in anytime when called upon. She started a study class where women were taught knitting and sewing.”
