“He was honoured for risking his life in order to safeguard national security and protect the lives of workers and travellers at the Lusaka International Airport, when he difused a bomb that was planted at the Airport on 6th June 1996 when he was working as Chief Superintendent in the Zambia Police Force. In the process of defusing the bomb it exploded and injured him.”
