“He was honoured for his role as one of the pioneers of the Zambianisation Policy when he was leader of the Mine Workers Union. He worked very hard for equal pay. He also initiated the construction of a dual carriage way from Ndola to Kitwe and improved Mukuba Pension Scheme. He served as Member of Parliament (MP) from 1978 to 1983 and initiated community based development projects aimed at improving the conditions and standards of living of the people.”
