“He was honoured for particpating in the liberation struggle for Zambia's independence. As a result of his active participation in politics during the political upheavals in 1961 particularly known as Cha-cha-cha, he was imprisoned. After his release from prison, he continued to mobilise people to rally behind INIP.”
