“He was honoured for offering great assistance to Kenneth Kaunda‘s family when he was in Prison in Salisbury (Harare). With the aid of father Thompson and Dr. Malady of New York, he organized second-hand clothes and goods for distribution to families who lost their bread–winners during Cha-cha-cha riots in Northern Rhodesia. He volunteered to drive Betty Kaunda to Salisbury to visit her husband in prison. He came to Zambia in 1946 and worked at Kabwata Parish, Kabwe and Chikuni. He died on 2nd May 1975 of heart attack in Pretoria, South Africa and was buried there.”
